Puking coolant...
When I first bought my bike the guy had the fan wired so it was constantly on with the key. I unhooked his wires and plugged the temp. sensor back into the radiator so that it would run automatically.
I have never seen the temp of my bike get over about 185-190 degrees while riding until yesterday. It was very hot and a buddy of mine wanted to learn how to ride. Took him to an empty lot and let him putt around for a while, well, that slow speed riding brought the temp up and the gauge was reading 225. Fan had not kicked on but there was coolant puking out of the overflow line. Turned it off, let it cool down and I rode it back home, once I started riding, temp went back down to 170-180 like normal. Any idea why the coolant was overflowing at that temp, it was hot but not THAT hot, I have seen many posts with guys saying temps reading in the 230-240 range at lights and slow speeds.

it shouldnt be puking out regardless of the temp, it should drain into your overflow can...
if your overflow can was full, and it was coming out of your overflow...
however, ide go and drain your coolant, and refill it with the specified amount, it sounds like you may have to much coolant in your radiator/overflow..
it sounds like your temp gauge is bad... which didnt allow the fan to kick on..
replace the engine temp sensor...
or rewire it to turn on with a switch

Op- The fan should come on at 220. I recommend draining and replacing the coolant to the proper level and making sure the fan comes on correctly then see how it does. If it still pukes after everything is good then you have another problem like the radiator or water pump.

Your fan switch is broken FYI.
