But,, I shouldn't have that problem is I buy the solid black screen right?

ORIGINAL: rippn

Ya, both, great products... puigs look so cool... but I saw another(face to face) melted "dash" from the ability of that groovy curve, to focus the sun... several conformations, on this forum, several others, on other forums, I cruise. Even a simple cloth, will block it from happening. Be forwarned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clean and free, Ripp'n

23, shouldn't be a prob, w/ an opaqe screen, or a simple piece of cloth... I saw the last dash problem, was lst week, on a 06 gsx-r 600... I went to start to explain the potential damage w/ his beautiful puig... he stopped me, and show'd me the curled spot already. I would like an black opaqe screen -2", found "gustafsson plastic" online they will make you any size, +/- in almost any color, including opaqe. Better than oem and aftermarket materials too. For old/ new/ race, COOOL !!!!!!!!!!

There have been cases of burned cluster with all colors of DB screen. Even the dark smoke will do it.

I am getting a light smoke ZG DB when I get around to it. I need to be able to see through it in a tuck with a smoke visor. I have heard of guys making a "hood" for the cluster to shade it from the sun.
