Default DB Windscreen - Puig, Zero Gravity, Memphis Shades?

Im looking at getting a new windscreen and its between the Puig DB, Zero Gravity DB, and Memphis Shades cockpit windscreen (not technically a DB). What is your guys take on which to get? Im 6' tall.

Also I have heard a lot that these tinted windscreens will melt your speedo cluster because of the tint. I think I read earlier that some people were painting the underside of their windscreen black to remedy this problem. Has anyone had experience with this?

All DB windscreens can or will burn your speedometer cover. It is on a sticker on everyone of those DB windscreens. I have a Puig DB windscreeen. It is not the tint that causes the burning it is the shape of the DB. I have an 05 CBR 600RR and I'm looking at replacing the screen. It melted a small part of my dash cover. I replaced it for about $40 with about an hour of labor time. I couldn't stand looking at that burn mark. You can purchase windscreens that you can't see through and you won't have this problem. Please read this recent response from Puig:

George,

We are reaching a point that all the new pieces double bubble we manufacture will not have this problem. We are working on it, and it is our most important issue to be solved at this moment.

If you buy a double bubble screen in carbon look however, we can assure you will NOT have this problem.

Thank you,
PUIG.

I have always used ZG DB sheilds and they are awsome. My brother has a Puig on his GSX-R1000 and it is definantly taller than the ZG DB on my bikes (same bike). If that makes any difference to you. The ZG is also less distorted when looking through it than the Puig.

I love my Puig. I just cover my guages to be on the safe side and the times I didn't nothing happened. I didn't leave it long though.

I have a Puig & it melted a hardly noticable peice of my Speedo... Painting tback side of it should be a cheap remedy...

I personally have the Sportech DB Black Chrome transparent windscreen. They make 2 versions of the chrome series, transparent and non-transparent. The non-transparent already has like a black paint on the back, and you can't see out of it at all...the transparent you CAN see out of, but it WILL melt your speedo, it has like a mesh backing, but it'll still melt ****. IDK, honestly, I'm either going to put my OEM screen back on, or look into like a Hotbodies/Zero Gravity/etc...clear racing screen.
