Question Powers stuntworx cage?

Im thinking about putting on a set of powers stunt cage to protect my investment...even though im probably not going to do wheelies or stunting it on a everyday bases..i just want to make sure that if my bike does fall, it will have less damage on it if it does happen.iv'e seen some sliders wrip right off and still cause all kinds of rashed fairings.. here's what i was looking @ but i want it in black ...let me know guys...

I don't know what type of look you're going for with you bike but from what I've seen lately a cage seems to clash with your blingy new body work.

Cages are so huge, even on streetfighters or stuntbikes they are still wide and beefy, which is not a bad thing, I like utilitarian styling but once a cage is on there the sleek look is gone. Just put some Woodcraft sliders on or a race rail. There are some good looking race rails out there that are way more appealing than a full cage and they'll have sliders built in.

price is about $300.00 for both sides w/hardware...yeah i got to look into those race rails, they just don't seem to cover much of the bike if it does fall? where if it falls on the cage..you can take the cage off sand it down and re-touch it up & you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to replace broken fairings, re-paint, decal and gloss up your bike you know? all this will definatly cost more than $300.00 bucks to fix...thanks for the in-put really appreciate it...

Part of owning and riding a bike is running that extra risk of it going down. Its been so long since I've looked at race rails I can't remember the best ones but a good race rail complete with frame slider (typical setup) will protect your fairings. The only thing you might have to buy new from a crash would be clip-ons and possibly levers.

Isn't the risk part of the fun anyway?

I've heard that those cages get real close when in lean angle of normal riding compaired to stunting. Never hit mine so that could just be a hoax

Although I have no personal experience with this issue I can say I have definitely heard/read where sporty cornering and cages do not go together. Depending on their design they can dig into the asphalt and cause you to lowside.
