Default look here at what i did...

..and i highly recommend against you doing it unless you have a de-soldering vacuum...de-soldering those 60 some odd pins with copper lattice SUCKS! And it turns out the polarity of my red LEDs was reversed compared to the stock LED's...

I'm surprised all the segments on the LCD screen work....

So did you end up having to re-do them or what?

I am having a hard time understanding what you did here? Could you give more details about the advantages to what you did, and how to go about doing it?

http://cbrworld.net/forums/thread/281354.aspx

the de-soldering those long rows of pins was the hardest part...this took me like 3-4 hours just cause one little bit of solder on a pin and you cant get the board out...

For anyone that would like to do something like this, but doesn't want to deal with soldering their LCD screens, I had mine done by Scott at http://www.bluegauges.com He did a very professional job, the price is fairly reasonable in my opinion (about $75 which includes return shipping), and there's a lot of color options.
