Default Power commander vs fuel controller

Hmm hey guys and girls, hows it goin? My name Ron and im still pretty new to this forum. I only recently started getting on here. I know a good ammount of stuff about bike and i have many things done to my 2006 F4i already but I have a question about something.
I will be doing a very long trip in a couple of months, and i got to thinkin about my fuel mileage. I used to race and we had a Power commander on my 600RR. I know you can alter the fuel to air ratio and other things, but that can also be modified to give me more gas miles right? or what about some kind of fuel controller. I know theres alot on the market these days. I guess my main question is, Whats the best way to get all the miles possible out of one tank of gas? what would be the best thing to buy to get the most miles, or the best thing to do?

I'm no expert, but I'd hazard to guess that an OEM set up will get you the best results. No ECU piggy-backs, no high flow filter, etc.

Either way, can't complain about 50+ MPG.

probably stock map would be the best. If you go any less than that you run the risk of running a lean fuel curve.
