Yeah I agree with the custom tune, however, I have a two brothers carbon exhaust on right now and they say no to run that exhaust during a dyno or tune.
Why is that?

I think, not sure about the tune, but for the dyno because of the Carbon exhaust I have. I guess it damages it or over heates. It said it on the label which was on the exhaust that I took off.

if you only have minor mods (ie k&n, exhaust, etc) just download a map online that has similar mods

no need to get it tuned bc if you compare all their maps they change very little bc of different mods on crotch rockets
That is absolutely not true

It comes with instructions and is fairly simple. I ended upattaching it to the outside of the subframe with velcro so its out of the way and not taking up any storage space.

is there a pretty big difference is you have a full exhaust system headers out? and sorry to thread jack, but is it really worth it to buy a K&N filter

There is very little you can do to a bike that will feel noticeably different outside of brakes and gear changes. An air filter is exactly the same - you might notice a couple extra HP on the dyno, but you won't feel it.

That said, I still recommend the K&N over stock.
