Default Power Commander Question????

I am thinking of getting an exhaust for my f4i, considering serveral highmount systems. My question is, how essential is it for me to have a power commander as well. I dont want to mess up my bike. Can I get the exhaust now, and down the road get a PC or do i need to get a commander first and worry about exhaust later.

Thanks

you dont need a pc, but it can help . it wont mess up your bike running an exhaust without it unless you get a full system then you will need a pc because you will need a custom dyno tune

GOt a pipe first and it ran ok without it.But the PC made the bike a LOT smoother(throttle response etc) to ride.
