Default Power Commander problem

I have a 2001 F4i with a Yoshimura slip-on and just bought a new Power Commander 3 USB. I installed it and loaded the correct map and did not notice a change in how smooth or more power. Should it be noticeable? Please help.

I put a Jardine slipon, K&N filter and a PCIII USB box on my '05 F4i. Noticed a little difference, but once I had it custom mapped the difference was very noticeable. The map from Dynojet was very lean on the low end.

Ok, I wasnt sure if the custom map would be worth it plus i dont want to fork out $300 for it. Did you notice it in power or more smooth.

I had a problem with my power commander, but it was serial not usb. Obviously if you are confident with the settings being transmitted "for sure" then I would suggest tune the bike if it needs it and get a K&N filter if you don't have one. Is your Yosh a Zyclone?
