Default Power Commander!

So my new used F4i has a Power Commander 3 installed, but I am not sure if its working correctly. Should the side lights light up whenever I have the bike running?

I was at the dealership yesterday and had my bike serviced, they noticed a loose wire hanging down which turned out to be the ground for my PC3. So I bolted it down to seat mount bolt but still the PC isn't lighting up.

Please help!

Do you have the USB version?

If I recall (and this is for my USB version), the lights on the side do a quick little demo pattern when the bike is turned on, and then the lights only move with the RPMs. Try revving the bike a few times while looking at it to see what it does.

If your PCIII is connected but not actually doing anything, I doubt the bike will run well, if at all.

I first tried grounding it to the negative terminal on the battery... to no avail. Is my PC shot or maybe unplugged somewhere else?

A PC3 is simple plug and play. The instructions say to ground to the negative terminal on the battery. If that's done and the harness is connected, you probably have a bad PC3

Thanks for the replies. I took the bike apart today and tried everything. My PC3 is installed correctly but simply not turning on. Is there a fuse somewhere to check?

Is it bad to be running my bike w/o the PC working correctly? My only mod is yoshi full exhaust. I have the USB PC by the way, maybe I could try hooking up my laptop to it....
