But if it was a loose ground don't you think it would do it when I hit bumps and what not?

 

Shorts in wires are screwy. They don't always act the way you would think. I say check the connectors at the front fairing and at the gauges. Give'em a good clean and inspection.

 

i say rip out ur shiznit and send it to me for rewiring itll only cost 1,000,000 dollars

You know you're probably right I should send it to you but I think I will just buy a new one. You can buy this one for $4K and then use all the parts you want to finish yours.

Ah you want some parts do ya! The sad thing is I think my bike is worth more in pieces than it is as a whole but I just don't want to deal with tearing it apart, packing everything up and shipping it. I just want it gone. I inquired about a 09 RR. If the guy still has it on Monday I will go look at it. Keeping my fingers crossed.
