Called a honda dealer today. F4i's (at least 05's) have different numbers and its all good as long as the numbers match the pink. Im still unsure about the body type model though.

You're right. I should have but i didn't. I probaly would not have looked at it if I didn't have to register the bike for 2010.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll keep you guys posted.

So i contacted the guy who sold me the bike. He told me that

"RS means road and street
If it was an atv it would say at
If it was a dirt and street it would say EN
If it was a pickup truck it would say PK"

It seems reasonable... what do you guys think?

I got the orignal receipt... im going to make a copy though. The guy just bought out a dealer and is expanding his business so if anything does go wrong, i have a physical adress to go to.

Just reading your original post again, did you mean

1) the VIN and engine numbers on the bike are different from what's printed on your title

or

2) the VIN is different from the engine number

Like Aken says, the VIN is not the same as the engine number. If #1 is the case, it is a problem. If #2 is the case, there is nothing wrong with that.

You may want to head down to your local linceses office and confirm what needs to be on that title that you have. They will be the final authority when it comes down to the title being right. The dealer can do one thing and jack it up but the linceses office can correct anything that they fubared. The most imp part is that the vin on the title match that of the frame. I had to deal with this when i registarted my bike in a diffrent state.

I meant #2.

I'll head to one when I get the chance.

I was cramming for a couple days and might have over-reacted just a little bit. Again, thanks for all the advice guys.
