Pink slip question
I never really checked my pink slip since i bought it from a dealer and assumed everything was ok. I came across a few discrepancies today that alarmed me.
1) The vin number and engine number are different
2) The body type model says "RS" instead of cbr or f4i
3) It says "Hond" instead of Honda
Are my worries valid?
Can you guys tell me what your pink slips say? Thanks.

The vin number and engine number arent as big of a deal as long as the frame number matches... thats what the dmv goes by..... just means maybe the previous owner put a different engine in it..... as for the model being wrong idk what to say about that.... and Hond... Just means someone is retarded and doesnt know how to spell.... ide just check with your local law enforcement... to make sure your not riding a stolen bike.....
IMHO, your worries are VALID!!!
Its either a fraud or a total retard goofed things up and swapped titles. The title must match the vehicle in your possesion and there should be no ambiguity about it. That's why its proof of ownership!
Sorry to be blunt about it.

I just checked mine too and my VIN on the frame does not match the one on the engine but they are 2 completely sets of numbers, is the VIN on the engine on the back under the rear shock? (sry I dont mean to jack but you got ME worried now).
Its possible the dealer got it jumbled up, almost had the something happen to me when I bought my car. Bank called freaking out, this title doesn't match the type of car you said it was going to be. lol
You have three numbers: VIN, Frame, and Engine. I haven't found anything that says if the Frame and VIN are different, but the Engine number is definitely different.
And to be another blunt person, why you're just now checking your title to see if it matches your motorcycle is beyond me. You should've done that before even taking ownership. Unless your state works differently than Wisconsin, I dunno. WI issues you a new title when you register your vehicle.
