PCIII - disconnecting and reconnecting for maps to take effect
When I bought my PCIII and installed it, I noticed the difference imediately. It ran very smooth all the way up to max RPM.
I then loaded a different map onto it and it didn't run very well. I then switched back to the good map and WTF it was still crap! I didn't know what to do so I just rode my bike like that for awhile
Well I just found out that by disconnecting the PCIII, running the bike, then reconnecting it, it must somehow reset the PCIII and it started working again. Now my bike is smooth!
So it may require disconnect - reconnect when switching maps to actually have them take effect. Or maybe there is something I am missing? Anyways this worked for me.
I ran my bike for over a month not knowing what was wrong with the map
