me and the f4i just made the trip to deal's gap
me and two of my friends finally made the trip to deal's gap this past weekend. we rode our bikes from jonesboro,ar to there and back in two days. 1183 mile round trip. everyone said we were crazy for riding sportbikes that far but hey,i bought mine to ride.i bought it new in march and i have 8800 miles on it already. i think we are going back next month. if anyone hasnt done it,its worth the trip. you need to ride 441 across the smoky mountains also.
I will ride it sometime, right now though they are on a MASSIVE crackdown and pulling over everyone from what I have been hearing. Already got a story from a guy who was up there and both him and his buddy got nailed.
you should also try the rockies if you are near them those are just huge turns that you can take at like 90- 120 if you are feeling froggy and its great scenery. i just did 4200 round trip on my 02 f4i so welcome to the sore *** club.[:@]

My wife is from Jonesboro, AR and her grandparents still live there, so we are down there all the time. I never thought I would read a thread on a national board and find someone from a small town like Jonesboro.
i agree about the police situation. there were probably 20 or so police cars but they were all pulled over in one of the areas about halfway down the tail. we got stuck behind a couple harley riders going 15mph so the first run was kinda boring. sometimes the police just do these kinds of things just to be asses. i got pulled over in jonesboro in a kmart parking lot for having green led's up under my tail section. $110 ticket
My Dad's in Mountain Home AR. When I ride out to see him next, I'll post up to try and get together in Jonesboro. Nice ridin' out there, this time of year, wish I could come now. Pax,G.
