the majority of the folks on this board have them...and the drilled kind too, not the cheezy no-drill ones.

I couldn't answer because you don't have an option for me. I don't have them, but I think they are a good investment.

I have the "cheesy" no drill ones. Here's my take though. The reason I bought them was if the bike was tipped over in the garage (or anywhere for that matter) or if I was going "very" slow and the bike goes down they'll do the same job as the "true" frame sliders. I won't argue the fact that at a high rate of speed they wouldn't hold up. Quite frankly though, if my bike goes down doing 50 mph +, if the insurance co. doesn't total it I'll get rid of it. I wouldn't want it anymore. Time for a new bike. Just my opinion.

I finally got them on mine (only took me 94k miles to get them on, haha)... Vortex sliders, the ones you gotta drill. After my last spill and having to drop nearly $1000 for new fairings, repainting the tail and upper, and some other parts, I decided enough of this crap, I'm getting sliders

I too have the "no drill" ones for the same reasons as Stinger. If I go down at speed, the plastics will be the least of my worries.
