To patch or not to patch????????????
Hey everyone. I have a simple question here. About a month ago I noticed my rear tire going flat, took it off and took it to a tire repair shop. They found two nails in the tire so, they put two patches on the tire of course and it rode very well. Well, just yesterday when I was leaving the gym, the front seemed to pull in each direction too easily and I was like what the hell......it never do that. So, I got home and just then noticed a screw in my back tire and lost a lot of air on the rear. So, my question is now, should I have this patched up as well with another patch making it three patches? Would this be safe because I still do have plenty of tread on the rear? Should I just suck it up and buy a new rear?
I ran a single patch on my Pilot Power for at least a few thousand miles with no problems. However I'd never run more than one. I'd replace the tire also.
I ran two plugs in my old tire, it was a brand new tire, walked out one morning, and saw two shinny nails, pulled the nails and pluged the holes, ran it for 3000 miles, no issues. But everyone says its not a good idea.
How much life is left on the tire? I'd run with patches...that's just me. After three, I'd wanna have the tire rebalanced to be sure the weight isn't getting messed up
