I wouldn't take it back to the shop. Sounds like they screwed up but don't trust them to fix it since they clearly can't.
At least you got a free tire... that is better than some shop stories I've heard.

+1 on pics (if you haven't fixed it already)

Ok, sorry for no pictures. But she is fixed now. I borrowed a center stand and took the whole front end apart inspected everything and reinstalled it according to the manual....before tightening down the bottom triple tree bolts , pinch bolts on axle and axle bolts I bounced the front up and down several hard good times then proceeded to check alignment. She is back in alignment with my handle bars.

Thank You all for the advice and patience with this.

Oh also I found out my left brake line has a nice cut gash in it. I inspect my bike weekly. Normally it is a 30 minute hands on check of every thing possible from braking to suspension. I am thinking they let my caliper hang by the line when they was installing the new tire.

I'm glad you resolved the issue. Did you figure out what was causing it?

Obviously a non issue if it's fixed now, but I wonder if there's a chance one of the dampers in one of the forks was sprung/stuck up and the other one was normal?

Good question. Guess my next project will be rebuild the forks just because and while I am at it upgrade the Head Steering Bearings also. I think it's time I invested in a good camera and start doing VBLOGS for the CBR Community.
