if your sitting in traffic it will climb to 220, then the fan will kick on, then it will cool off to 209 or so then warm back up. Cruising at 55+ it stays between 170-185

thats about right. obviously ambient temps where u live might tweak those numbers a bit, but those are average riding temps for the f4i.
It's amazing what a little cool air over the radiator will do! When you are able to wind it up a bit on an open road, the whole bike cools down quite rapidly.
