Default Oil light question

Hello

I have a mechanical question for you guys. Whenever I stop the bike using brakes and engine braking and end up in 1st, after disengaging the clutch, the red oil light comes on for about a second or maybe even less.

So is that a problem and if it is, is it a serious problem?

Thanks
Have a good one

Do you always check your oil before you ride? You could be low if your light is going on when slowing down like that.

It sounds like it might be a loose connection, but as stated, definitely check your oil levels.

I don't check the oil level before I ride.
Thanks for the help, I'll go ahead and just check the oil.

Ok I don't want to violate any forum rules, but I have a new question:

Where do you guy buy your oil filters and oil? Do regular auto shops like autozone, pepboys have it? Or do I have to go to the local shop, and get it there/wait for them to order it?

Thanks

Yeah, most auto stores carry motorcycle oil; even some Walmarts. As for the filters, you can cross-reference auto filters which will fit the F4i. Here's a link: LINK. But me personally use a bike specific oil filter (WIX/NAPA 1358) because I believe it has a less restrictive flow ratios, but others use car filters without issues.

I buy all my stuff at the local Honda shop. And it's usually in stock.

And one more question:

What oil would you guys recommend?

I know some people swear by amsoil, but if I can't get it what are some other good alternatives?
