Normal Operating Temperature???
Hey evryone, newbie here. I was just practicing with my bike driving/shifting in the driveway/cul-de-sac and my temperature got up to 204. Is that a bit too high? im going no more than 10mph MAX. I just purchased the bike a few days ago and it didnt come with a owner's manual so i cant look it up. Ive already ordered one and its on the way

RE: Normal Operating Temperature???
the lower your speed higher your temp., and the fan shoul kick at about 215-225., i live in florida, and in the city i just need to stop at one light for 30 seconds and my temp., is 215-220. and 250 is way to much...i will say that 240-245 is the max. temp that you will get, after that your fI light will come on on your dash and your bike will shut off by itself.

RE: Normal Operating Temperature???
204 = perfectly normal
229 = perfectly normal
231 = getting a bit hot
240 = shut her down
254 = lights start flashing
The outside air temperature doesn't impact the engine temperature as much as air flow does. If you start her up outside in the summertime and let her sit idle, she'll stay between 220-230 and she'll be happy at those temps.
