alright, check the connector between the upper and main wiring harness... the green wire leads to the headlights, see if the pin is corrodid at all. You may have to clean it... or get a new harness IF the headlight relay doesnt help.

its the green wire that connects the head light harness sub harness to the main harness i guaranty this. clean the terminal with electrical contact cleaner and then use electrical continuity grease. cost you all of about 5 bucks. when you put the grease in unplug and plug it back in a few times to get a good contact. then when you get a few extra bucks take it to the stealership and have them put a new pin in. also when you put that grease in the front plug put it in all the rest of the plugs that are easy to get to it will keep water and mositer out and corrosion as well. you can get the cleaner and grease at the local auto parts store

Dro <-- Can you post a solution once you solve this problem? My friend has the same exact problem on his f4i and he is desperate for help.
His bike also only turns on when you remove the fuse for the headlight and it will shut off if turn signals are used...

Yup had the same thing with mine awile back. I just took the green ground wire out of the conector entirely and connected it with some heat shrunk butt connectors and have had zero problems with it since
