No speed limits
Ok check this out, there is this motorcycle race track about an hour away, and this weekend they are running an open bike day and anyone can try it for free. They have a class for a track license, I think its the MSF race class. And after this class you can ride any track in the US. Has anyone ever ridden on a track vs. street?
yea i have herad of stuff like that. Its a good fit but u have a higher risk of going down at these track days. Most people that do them have a second bike just for the track or a beater. A couple guys on here are trying to go to one called motorspeed i think its in the carolinas somewhere and suppose to one of the best places to go to. It was around 400 dollars though but like u said you can go to any race track and race on it if u decide to get the license. THe class was only for a day though. They also have one instructor per 3 -5 riders i believe or it may be less so you can get that one on one tutoring.
I think you're notion of this is wrong.
There is no MSF race class. You don't need a track license to ride track. Its likely that this is a school for people to get a racing license with some race organization (e.g. CCS, WERA). If that is the case, this is not the right track experience for you. Those race schools are for experienced riders who already have track experience and want to race.
I'm not saying you can't do it but if you've never done a track day, you'll likely be lost in the class. It would be better to do an open trackday or a track school.

the one im referring to actually does level eperience for riders and have a begining class for the rider. Jaybird on this forum was telling me about it, he knows a lot more then me since he was for sure trying to go.
I was referring to Cornerspeed. They offer the opportunity to get a race license (WERA IIRC)at the end of the class. I doubt MSF has a race liscense.
Cornerspeed is more of a track school, but they do offer the licensing course (don't think it costs anything extra, but I'm not sure). They also offer a tiered curriculum based on experience.
The website is www.Cornerspeed.net

stephens, you should just do a search for track days in your area. They're usually $100-150 for a day, they typically have several different groups for different level riders. You might not care about riding on the street after a trackday.
BTW, I'd say half the people at trackdays ride their only bike.

The one in my area is only 45 minutes away. And I believe there is different levels. I will run the track and see what my level is. I have been riding for almost 3 years now and have gotten pretty good with my cornering and braking, just want to have some fun with it.
