No Head Lights
Hey.
This is my first post. I'm new to everything here. New to riding and maintenance. So please forgive any rules that I'm breaking.
I tried searching but...you know.
My lights aren't working. 2005 CBR600 F4i. has about 15,000. I had my chain and sprockets replaced and wheI got it out of the shop the lights weren't working. I didn't notice till the cop told me. It was dusk. FML.
My Low beam is usually on automatically. And when I turn on the High beams the nice little blue indicator turns on. None of these things are happening. No head lights at all and when I hit the High Beam switch the indicator light doesn't turn on.
I've tried to check the exposed connections. Everything SEEMS in order.
I'm taking it back to the shop today but they aren't going to admit any fault.
I've heard that this is common?

You have to pull the fuse out to see if it's blown. Google blown fuse vs. good fuse and you'll see a picture of each. Check any fuses that have to do with your lighting, there is usually a diagram on the fuse box lid that indicates which fuses do what and which are spares. Are the signals and brake lights working?

Common problem, the switch gets sticky over time and eventually doesn't make electrical contact when released. Had this problem about a year ago and used a spray dry lube on the switch. Worked fine and have not had a problem since.
