You can count the teeth on the sprockets. The 2002 model came with 16 teeth on the front sprocket and 46 teeth on the rear sprocket. If you look at them and they are in really good shape I would imagine that they have been replaced.

most of the time, if they have been replaced, the company will stand their label on the sprockets. If not, do what rjmech said and just count the teeth.

what all is involved in getting to the front sprocket? I noticed my rear sprocket has been swapped out for a 48 tooth vortex, but havent checked the front.

The front sprocket is easy to get to, Just undo the little plastic cover over it, secured by 2 8mm bolts. Also there is a metal shim behind the plastic that comes off with everything. Once it is off, all that stands in your way of having a liberated sprocket is a single bolt I think it is a 14mm. That is all there is to it.

My front sprocket is one tooth down from stock so I cant reach supersonic speeds anymore. I can still hit 160+ and thats plenty fast. I'll just be ya off the line. LOL.

i don't think your bike could reach super sonic anyway...buhahahhaha...

160 isn't actual though...but it sure makes your ballz feel huge!
