Default New Spark Plugs

I talked to my mechanic, and he said new plugs would be about $16.50 each. He said that was the stock plug, and that was the the cheapest he could find it. Is there a good aftermarket performance plug for the F4i? I figure if I'm going to be spending almost $20 / plug, I might as well try to find the best ones I can. I have an 01 by the way.

I got mine for 8.50 a piece from the dealer. And these were the stock ones.

Shop around, check sparkplugs.com and see what they have to offer. Don't get cheap quality plug, you'll just end up paying for another set.

That is about the going rate from a dealer. they are so pricey because they are iridium. you want a good quality plug for your bike. Sparkplugs.com is the cheapest I have seen unless you get luck on ebay

I am my own mechanic for most things. A buddy of mine owns a shop, and usually sells me parts for about what he can get them for. I still do the intsall, but I get the parts from him.

So if your buddy owns a shop and gets you parts at dealer cost, then why would he be selling them to you for $16.50 a peice? he is not hooking you up al all...you can go to the stealership and pay that.

He pays $16 for the NGK Iridiums. He showed me the book. He's a pretty small shop, soif he's ordering smaller parts like that he doesn't get much of a discount. He gets a pretty good discount on larger items though. Besides, we don't have a Honda dealer in Omaha. We just have a huge motorcycle store that charges WAY to much for parts. It'd be at least $20 from them.
