Default Spark Plugs From the Top ????

Ok........ ive read some hinting on the fact that the F4i spark plugs can be swapped out going in from the top under the air cleaner......

Anyone do it this way ?? Tips / Tricks ? Is it possible to do propping the tank rather then removal ???

Ive got my new filter, just waiting upon my new spark plugs then im going to dive in...

Only step by stepi could find was getting @ them from the rad (same as manual)

thanks

Dave

I found it next to impossible to replace the plugs by removing the rad alone. I propped the tank and removed the airboxwhich made my job easier.

Removing the tank isn't hard. It's a PITA to get to them no matter what.

loosen the radiator then remove the airbox. Get yourself an extension and its not too bad.

when i took the air box off i used the honda tool for the plugs and a 10mm ratcheting wrench on the honda tool worked pretty well and aint that hard. You dont even have to disconnect the fuel lines if i remember correctly.

i think you might as well go in from the top if tank/airbox is off.

With the angle they sit in there and no oem tools, it was easier to be able to come at it from all directions. The frame is in the way and using just a ratchet with extensions it was kind of a PITA.
