I bought a 2002 cbr600 f4i last week. Guy said it would need the ignition wires fixed due to a failed attempt to steal it. Figured for 500 it wasn't a bad deal especially for my first bike. I've soldered the wires back together but I can't get the fuel pump to prime. Do I need to put a new ignition on it or is there something else that can cause this?

 

HISS or non-HISS bike?

 

Honestly I'm not sure. Whats the difference? Sorry new to working on bikes.

 

does it say Honda security system or hiss around the key?

 

not that i noticed. I'll check in the morning when I get home.

 

didn't see anything that said honda security or hiss. Did notice it has a pink wire which im guessing is the security wire.
