because it is....

learn to use the quote function.
Agreed, there is no simpler way to put it.

Now if I were to say blue is better then red, then yeah, you would have a point...but there is a right and wrong here...like if someone told you to spray WD-40 on your brake rotors to improve performance and reduce braking noise would that be a correct thing to say? I would put that under mis-information and a BIG no no.

Hell, with all the attitude I don't know what the problem is.

I've never experienced the "noise" and (knock on wood)...(hey I'm not supersticious)..so I'm no grease monkey. If I heard a bike with the problem, what should I tell him...is it the CCT or the damn Lifter?

Well I did learn something from this thread: I finally saw a microfiche of the parts discussed. So I apologize if I EVER told ANYONE that it's the CCT or the CCTL or the motor was going to disentegrate or that Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Woman.

sometimes from the factory it comes with no play, otherwise with very little play...so you could be right!

Man, I thought I'd read this article on Cam Chains to see about upgrading from my Hurricane, but it seems the CCT problem still exsists still with Honda. Why Honda doesnt incorporate the gear drivenV-tec engine design like a VFR into the CB line mystifies me.Perhaps the readings in the forumwouldnt be sooooo long if there wanst so much whining about whose right and whose wrong......JMHO :O)

If I could ask one simple question, approx. how many miles/KM do you experience this rattle noise from the CCT?

Thanks

Someone around here said something about the back torque factor on the gears with a CBR wouldn't work too well....it would reduce engine reliability.

Bolt and Nut....forget that, WELD IT...that is stop the rattle for most riders out there, some may get it from the lifter rattling against the body of the CCTL butI don't have it (and still didn't have it when I sold the bike)....I just welded my tip and the noise is all gone....you can also ignore it if the rattling does not bother you that much.
