New to here with a question..
I don't know if this is a proper place to ask it either... I've had my 01 CBR 600 F4i for a while, since AI got back from Iraq in October of '09, and I've ridden it very few miles. Not because I don't want to, but because it's been in a shop the whole damn time. At first second and third gear slipped into neutral as I twisted the throttle a little bit. They replaced second and third, and the forks that corresponded with them. Still did it.. Now they found a crack in the clutch cage, so now were waiting on that part to come in. He said it was free this time around because he didn't catch it at first. How much does it cost to replace? I think he can't afford to do it for free so hes waiting until he can to get it, while I'm sitting at home only driving my 06 Cobalt. Been waiting for a few months now so I really do think that's the case. It's aggravating beyond belief to have a bike and not riding it. I've put less than 200 miles on it this season, and I would of st least put twice that if I had it. Any help?

Well welcome, first off, not a lot I know about gear replacement... crack in the clutch cage huh... sounds like bad news, you bought it used or did you buy it from a shop?
If I were you, I might just sell the bike when it gets out of the shop for around 4G's (since you have the Cobalt) and then buy a new CBR, maybe another F4I or a RR. It's all up to you man, but GOOGLE can be your BEST FRIEND, when you're looking at problems on your bike, I just finished installing a headlight on my bike and I would have never figured it out if not for google. haha - - Welcome again man.
