Default new chain and sprockets

Hello hello,

First season I've been doing all my own maintenance and customizations and been getting rather into it. This weeks project is going to be replacing the original stock sprockets and chain but can't decide which one to get wanted to see some other opinions!

Been looking at these ones

Complete Chain & Sprocket Kits - CBR 600F4i 2001-2006 - Honda - Sportbike Sprockets

I'm leaning towards the 525s so they last longer and was more than likely going to just go with the stock 16/46, am unsure of the advantages of going with something less in the front and more in the rear, what do you guys use/think? Also leaning towards the RS7 Superlite Gold chain with it being the monthly special.

IMO, if you're not heavyweight and avoid "ham-fisting" the throttle, 520 chain/sprocket would last just as long with proper maintenance.

520 conversion kit would cost less than 525 kit, weigh less (rotational mass), likely get better fuel econ.

yea hours of debate over the best sproket teetch # front and back set up haha

dude unless your a stunt rider and want to pull the front up more or doing track days and riding a track that is mostly turns and not many straights then maybe alter the number of sproket teeth for that, your top speed may be afftected negatively though. Plus your speedometer may be out of sync if you alter the teeth from stock seettings. Plus some more stuff like poster above mentions days worth of reading haha
