Default Need some info

So I hear the f4i's have this little vibration/rattling sound that is normal. I have a this tiny vibration/rattling sound comming from the front of my bike and u can only hear it around 2-2.5k rpms it dont sound like anything major its been doin it since i have owned it the bike has 12k miles on it runs perfect just reasuring myself its ok i have heard that they do this? Hopefully I am able to make some sense on this...

i dont have a bike yet, but ive read on this forum for about 6 months now and im pretty sure its the CCT. Im sure someone will come in behind me and confirm, or fix whati said, but im pretty sure ive read about this a few times.

Ah ok yeah that may make some sense there I can see that being a cam chain tensioner deal anyone have a fix to this price wise? Does it need a new one? or? Is it also ok to live with the sound will it hurt anything?

CCT sounds like marbles in a can.It has not been proven to hurt anything besides the noise.If you can deal with it ,then all is good.

Lots of threads on here about them.So the choice is really up to you.

Yep sounds like CCT, i purchased my F4i in Dec of 07' and previous owner removed and installed manual one, from what ive read and what he said, glad i dont have to deal w it
as far as the cost goes, not exactly sure but i dont think i will break the bank

yea i looked it up and it looks like its about a $50, 20 minute job so it shouldnt be too bad.
