I just recently moved to TX (thanks to uncle sam [[ARMY]]) and i was wondering if i could get some help from you guys about a problem i am having. TX requires a safety inspection and when i purchased my bike it came with aftermarket tail lights ... one of my tail lights is out which means i cannot pass texas safety inspection which also means no TX registration...i am guessing that i have an aftermarket undercarriage aswell seeing to the fact that i cannot find a place where the stock tail lights would be mounted at... i am wondering if any of you could lead me in the right direction to get tail lights to fit this undercarriage (doesnt matter if they are the same) or show me where to get a new undercarriage aswell as nice tail lights... i am not trying to spend a lot on this fix which is why i am trying to do it myself instead of paying some ridiculous price for a service shop to fix it ... please somebody help me with this... i love to ride and army policy says i cannot ride unless my bike is registered in the state i currently am stationed in. Pictures of what you're talking about would help...when you take the passenger seat off there should be access to the bulbs...just twist the plastic piece that holds the bulb and it comes right out.

 

I think what you are referring too is the rear fender, which has the oem blinkers and license plate light. The brake light however is separate with a couple exceptions like the hotbodies undertail which replaces the taillights as well.

If you have an aftermarket undertail, post up some pics, and if its a nice one im sure someone with a stock one might want to trade
