Exclamation Need Help Asap, Please Look Inside!

Long story short -

My roommate and I are in the process of trying to take off the TB's in order to install a manual cam chain tensioner. We loosened the insulator band screws on all 4 runners, but the silicone couplers do not want to come off.

Any suggestions/tips/whatever?

I can get pictures if it'll help, but I think the description covers that nicely.

If you need them, though, please post up saying such.

Thanks,

Kyle

Let me see if I understand your post, you are trying to take off the timing belt to replace the CCTL? You don't need to take the timing belt off to replace it. Here is a link for you on how to replace it.

TB's = Throttle Bodies

Guess I should have spelled it out, haha.

Sorry, it's been a long night.

I have the manual on my computer, and printed out the pages needed, so I've got all those bases covered.

Nevermind, brute force + nylon straps + two mechanical engineering students = problem solved.

Yeah, those little hoses are a PITA (on any vehicle). They get baked on there and don't like to come off. When re-attaching, a little plumbers grease (water based) would help.

Good call.

We are trying to finish it tonight, but we have class at 9, and homework to finish.

Odds are, it'll get done, since it's my only mode of transportation atm, and the homework won't, haha.

Such is life.
