Great looking bike. I really like those photos you took. I am also a photographer. What camera do you use? I have a Fuji S3 and all Nikon 2.8 lenses. What was your aperature and shutter speed on those shots. I like how you have the all black background. How did u achieve that? I tried it once but it didnt turn out as good as i wanted it to.

Thanks guys. It's very much appreciated.
Stephens, I shoot with a Nikon D300 and I have a few different lenses. I took these particular shots with my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens. All of the shots were at either 1/200th or 1/160th of a second and between f/5.6 and f/11 so that the only light the camera would pick up would be light from the flash. I didn't want any of the ambient light being picked up...then you would be able to see the upper part of my driveway, the grass on the side, and the mailbox behind the bike...so basically I just adjusted my shutter speed to as fast as my camera would sync with my flash, then I kept raising the f-stop until I got the effect I wanted with a completely black background.
To give you an idea of what it looked like outside, it was dark, but there was a street light with an orange glow to it that I knew I'd have to overpower. I have a Nikon SB-28 flash that I mounted on a light stand and fired full power into a silver lined umbrella and I had it angled down at a 45* angle to light the bike. I was hoping the flash at full power would overpower the orange street light and erase that orange tint and it did. So then I just adjusted the camera settings like I mentioned before, moved the flash around to light the whole bike, and ended up with what you see in the pictures. It was exactly what I was wanting but I didn't know if it would work or not...and it turned out exactly like I wanted it to.
