My first real day on the street - put a 100 miles on her - have a few questions
Ya stompgrip is out. Im going with Tech Spec High fusion
Thanks for the good news everyone! I thought I was doing the right thing and giving the mileage and motor a break while cruising in 6th. It has plenty of power even at 4-5k at 45mph in 6th. A quick downshift should alleviate any issue you may have on the street ; ) No reason to run at higher rpms while cruising and if you have a bootleg like me..the thing screams even at 5th/6th gear 4500-5500rpm cruising speeds...no need for the extra deafining noise! Thanks guise!

kind of shocked that I see people not using 6th gear in town. Maybe since I am so light that the bike just doesn't need torque to push but i have all the power I would need to move. Probably still moves faster than a ninja 250 and smaller bikes even in that gear.
Personal preference here I guess. I just feel safer with my bike in / near the power band than having to climb up or drop down into it. And having more gears available too.
**** the gas mileage. Bike already gets bettern mpg than many cars riding like this.

Ok so I ordered 2 general sheets of tech spec high fusion gripsters. I plan on using most of it to overlay my black wings on the tank. The leftover I may overlay the white "CBR" lettering each side of my front cowel. Anybody have a pic of a red and black F4i with the front cowel CBR lettering in black? If so post it up please

Ok enough is enough..my CCTL rattle has just gotten to me too much. With only 7700 miles its time to replace. I thought I could live with it but it just sounds terrible. I think I am going OEM automatic rather than APE manual. Can someone verify that the chitty one in there now has one blue dot and the new and improved OEM has 2 green dots? If so, what is the exact part number? (I know it is in the CCTL sticky but I didnt seem to see a consensus on the correct updated OEM part number, the one with 2 green dots)
plus im like 5'10'' 215 lbs
i like being near the powerband
as for screaming...**** the other people
maybe for once they will notice you lol

my personal preference is to cruise around 5-6K.
though 3-4k on this bike has better pick than my other bike at 6-7k. my other bike being a sport touring with an emphasis on touring (Honda Pacific Coast). the CBR definitely holds the road better too
