Moving back to So Cal- need moving advice
I plan to put the F4i in the back of the Uhaul with everything else. I bought a wheel chock from Cycle Gear (got it for half off). Hopefully Uhaul won't care that I bolt it down to their floorboard
. I then plan to strap it down tight with ratchet straps.
Is there anything I need to know about or consider that will keep my bike from ending up on it's side and all jacked up? I think i got it but you guys seem to know everything.
Thanks!

I'm glad you posted this, I am planning on doing this same thing come Aug. I was going to screw down a 2x4 and make a box in the corner with ply wood over the bike incase something shifts and falls. As far as the holes I can't imagine they will even check (at least that is what I am telling myself).

Front wheel chock, for sure. GotCBR's comment should be taken seriously or you could
end up with blown seals, at the destination. I would add some sort of blocking to the
left/right of the rear tire to prevent it from sliding sideways and letting the bike topple.
The reason the decking in the back of your typical moving van is wood, is to allow for screwing
down blocking, etc. Just use typical drywall screws and you'll be fine. The length
shouldn't penetrate more than an inch or so, though. You don't want to project
below the flooring. If you're feeling a bit nervous about the idea, look at the flooring
when you get the van. I'm betting there will be lots of previous screw-downs evident.
Good luck, Ern
