I will be moving back to the east coast soon, I am in Utah now and riding is great here. What is the riding like on the east coast. I'll be in the Maryland, Virgina area, my husband will be at the Pentagon. I find there are more track days here in Utah, Nevada and California. I was planning on attending Keith Code's Superbike school this summer. What do I have to look forward to on the east coast?

East coast... look forward to... nothing. I'm the only one here. I'm in VA, Norfolk / Va Beach area and the riding season isn't bad, but you do not have any tracks. I think mid Ohio is the nearest one.

Hurricanes, Ice Storms, Road Salt, traffic....other than that you should be good!!
I am sure there are sorts of riding adventures to be had....maybe you can go visit a coal mine??[sm=partyparty.gif]
The mountains in that region are very pretty

I know that North Carolina and Tennesee are not very close to DC, but they're on the EAST COAST. You're talking about tracks in Ohio. I believe the question was: what do I have to look forward to on the East Coast? I think both of our comments related to the question.

I hate VA cops. Be careful they are vicious.

All I said was that the closest track is in Mid Ohio... not that it's close at all. And I just didn't want her to get her hopes up about good riding locations such as the Dragon... believe me, I'd love to go there and will when I move back to Ohio. It's about 8 hours away from me now... (Virginia Beach) and only about 4 hours from Ohio, I think. But my point is... I'm a couple hours south of DC and the riding for the most part is what you make of it. Nothing great.

Exactly! I said the same thing about Deal's Gap. I never said it was close to DC. You called me out on it for some reason. I said before that I thought both of our comments were related to the question and that's why I didn't say Mid Ohio is no where near DC until you attacked me. I was only defending myself because you challenged me on geography for some reason. NO HARD FEELINGS. I CAN FORGET ABOUT IT. SHAKE?
