Hi all,

looking for a bit of advice regarding the following.

2001 F4i 600

Riding hard through the gearbox

Bike started to sound rough and felt like it was missing.

I pulled over and turned it off and now not starting.

I have found a particularly loose spark plug coil and at first I thought the plug had blown out the head because I was thrashing it but I removed and refitted the plug and it seemed okay and the threads weren’t “wooly”.

I’ll do a bit more digging and testing, but if anyone has had something like this happen I’d really appreciate some pointers.

I’m a skint trainee firefighter and can’t fling parts at it as much as I’d like!

Timing? The cam chain tensioner may have gotten too mch slack.
I am just guessing here, there will be someone along with WAY mire knowledge and troubleshooting ability than I have.
