Default MIL Code 34

Hello all. need your help please. My MIL light stays on while I'm riding. Once I stop and put the kickstand down, a code 34 flashes on the MIL. I have the service manuel but it doesn't say anything about a code 34. Does anyone know what this is? Bike seems to run fine. I did notice a slight hesitation in my throttle responce but overall the bike runs fine, this code is just throwing me. Any help would be appreciated.

no it's going through the blinking sequence. 3 long blinks and 4 short.

First guess would be an 02 sensor(oxygen) in your pipe. I will check my manual 2nite after work and see if mine says about that code.

I looked this morning for the code and had no success, you may need to take to a dealer(dirty word). and have them put on a diagnostic computer. Sorry.

It does make some sense that it is some sort of an ECM problem. MIL code 33 is for the EEPROM, with a possible remedy of replacing the ECM. All of the other codes are grouped together (12, 13, 14 and 15 for each of the fuel injectors for example).

Just a guess, but it does make some sense. It might even be worth giving the "Short service connector with jumper wire" option for MIL code 33 to see if it will reset.

Totally guessing here, obviously.
