Default Key Code

I have a 2004 CBR 600RR and I lost my key and I'm trying to get a new one made. I've tried to take my gas cap off I got it off found a 3 digit code on the bottom of it. Then I took it to the locksmith and they said it wasn't the code. I have no idea what to do. I don't want to have to change all my locks. Does anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem. The code you found could deffinitely be a code. Mine was three digits as well. The first was a letter which told you which blank you needed, then the second two were numbers which told you how to cut the key. Take off your key switch and look on the back of that to see if you find the same code anywhere.

If that dosnt work, you can take your ignition or fuel cap (if its open already) to a locksmith and they can make you one..around here that costs about $30.00
