Default Micron repair

So i got a Micron high mount for $150 locally, but it's not exactly in the best shape. The previous owner had flipped the bike so the trip of the exhaust is scratched and the rubber seals came apart on the back end of the canister. The canister itself is in decent condition with just some minor dings and scratches but no holes or anything like that. Basically my question is will the exhaust be ok if the rubber seals on the back are gone and also is there a way to fix them if it's a necessity? Also, would it be possible to fit a different brand canister to the Micron midpipe?

appreciate the help!...., I have a Akrapovic slip-on, why in the world would I want a FMF? I also had a Bootleg's shorty, but I'm looking for a high mount, which is why I picked it up, prices on Microns arn't exactly cheap and for the condition I got mine in, it's pretty much a steal.

any1 else care to answer my original question?

yes the exhaust would be ok without them and you could just rtv it if you wanted them there. i have a buddy here who has done it to his and its fine. im sure other exhausts cans would fit youd just have to try them on or measure the pipe size. my scorpion and m4 both fit on the same midpipe.

Why didn't you just have a muffler shop bend you up a new mid pipe for the Akro. proly woulda cost 20-30 bucks. But to fix it, its hard to say w/o seeing it, but I'd disassemble it, maybe cut it down some (maybe not) and put it back together with the rubber gasket put in the best I could (or order a new one from Micron). Wanna sell me that Akro?
