Default maintenance with grease

When I had my Yamaha (YZF600r), I was always supposed to grease the swingarm with moly and the steering head with lithium. I never did because I hadn't learned how. BUt I see no mention of this in the F4i manual.

If you do grease, when is a good time and what type do you use? A little how to would be nice, like how do you suspend the bike. I had a dirtbike and found greasing kind of easy (TTR125L) but it was so easy to support. I just had to support the case with a wooden stool/step then I could take off the forks and grease the steering head and disassemble the swingarm quite simply.

never heard of anyone doing that unless they were doing a swap or rebuild. But you can support a bike from roof rafters and ratchet straps, worked great when I did my RR swingarm swap.

I did that when I pulled the front wheel to check the rotors adn turn the wheel in the correct direction. My wife nearly had a fit and tolde me if it fell while it was like that I was not getting another bike. i said (head hanging low) "yes, Dear'. lol We went and bought a front stand after that.
