I just got the Yosh RS3 on my F4i....

Kinda louder than I expected.
Did anyone else think the same?

Don't get me wrong, I like it
Just will take a little getting used to.....When I first started her up it was cold and the fast idle came on .......BLAAAAM

I've got the same pipe and I too believe another function of having one is so you can be heard in traffic. On longer rides use some earplugs to block out wind/exhaust noise, that'll help.

Really you should always ride with ear plugs.

Its been proven that just the wind noise is enough to eat your hearing away. You may never notice it, but after years of riding you will be going "what?" all the time.

Trust me, the Corps took a bunch of my hearing. I am very protective of what I have left.

I keep a big box of disposible foam plugs in the garage next to my helmet. I got a 200ct. box for about $15 if I remember. They are very comfy and only take a second to throw in. Much cheaper than hearing aid batteries down the road.
