Default Lost Key

SO... I lost my key. I got the ignition switch off. What number does the locksmith need or de I need to de-solder the wires and bring him the ignition?

If you have the ignition switch off then disconnect it at the pigtail and take it all with you,the code he needs is the last three #'s or letters and try it in the switch make sure you can lock the ignition.A good locksmith can do it in about 10 min.

If your bars aren't locked you can also remove your ignition cylinder and take itto a Honda dealership and they can help you out there too, that may or may not be cheaper than having a locksmith do it...

Do they give you Honda keys or some no name one? My bike came with one non-honda key, looks dumb, I want at least a pair of keys with the wings on them.

Take those keys that the dealer cut you and put them away. Get some copies of those keys made at ur local locksmith shop....Later on its ALOT better to dublicate the original, than it is to duplicate the duplicated keys. The cuts of the depths vary generation after generation. Which means eventually after a few duplications of a duplication, it'll be a POS key......I still have ALL my original keys and never use them.....=-)
