lost key

what is the best way going about making a new key? I lost my only copy. Do i have to contact the stealership or is there other way?

1. you could contact the dealership.
2. take apart your ignition and find a number
3. maybe the vin number on the bike would help, not sure

Have a locksmith come over and they should be able to decode your lock and cut a new key for you.

i work at honda... u can get a new key for $5

i found mine thank god! closes place that would replace it was 30 miles away.....phew

Is that just a generic blank to give the locksmith? I wouldn't think it'd be precut for that price.

all u gotta know is the key code... on cbrs and scooters its a 6 digit number

we'll give u a copy for $5 but if u want the key with the honda logo u gotta order it usually (about $10) and they'll cut it if u have the code for free


the key code is on the ignition switch
