you should be able to adjust it unless it is old. have to loosen up the rear axle then at the end of the swing arm on both sides are adjusters. i am sure someone can explain it better than i lol. it isnt that hard to adjust though.
i am in need of a new 525 chain myself pretty soon.
was thinking d.i.d. anyone know of a good site to get one?
the mechanic i take my bike to said it was about 150 for a good one.
just wondering if i can find a better deal online.
sorry for the little jack

If I were you I would just take it to the local bike shop and they should charge you like $10 or so to tighten it for you. It a 3 minute job.

Improper Advice
If you feel confident enough to do it yourself, here is a step-by-step.
http://www.shraz.net/motorcycle/f4i/
I pulled it from this sticky on the Main Forum towards the top about FAQ's (600 F4i Section). https://cbrforum.com/forum/f4i-main-...ns-f4i-110044/
If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself or you lack the proper tools, follow the advice of jeffjones, and go to a local shop and ask them to do it BUT explain to them you are unclear and would like to watch and learn. Any reputable mechanic would have no objection. Hope this helps

Try getting a Clymer Manual, they have good step by step instructions and good tips for newbies.
