light housing

Default light housing

for my last trackday i wanted to drop my light housing and run the cowling empty. problem with that is i think that the bike's fi computer is in there some where. after getting everything toghether i tried to start the bike and the FI wouldnt prime. i just hooked the light housing back up.
is there any way i can get the bike to go without the light housing?? is the bike' comp in the light housing? any suggestions?

the computer is under the seat.
the fuel pump won't prime because the bank angle sensor's lines are connected with the headlight cluster.
there are ways around it but i don't know them personally.

as far as running without the headlight, why would you want to do that? all the air going in there and stuff through the headlight area...slow you down! just keep them on and pull the fuses and tape them up.

alright. didnt originally think that it was in there but figured id ask
i thought that i'd save the weight of the light housing (was racing a buddy on a 636 thats some 15lbs lighter than my f4i plus he's 180lbs while im 225.... figured every little bit counts)

If your buddy can ride then he's gonna be passing you all day long -- the 45# weight difference is a bunch to overcome. Just thrash what ya got and work on your personal best lap times. Track days are the shiz-nit -- wish I had more free time to play
