Yeah, I didn't even think of that! Depending on the durability of this material, that may be my next try...
I will say that this stuff is barely noticeable and not abrasive at all. I had the snakeskin Tech Spec's on my 300. They made the bike feel significantly wider and they ate hole in my kevlar jeans pretty quickly...

I liked my Tech Specs but it took a while to get used to their thickness and they were quickly wearing holes into my jeans. They definitely did what they were supposed to do, though!

Thanks. The first shot is taken above Kal lake. The 'peninsula' jutting out in the lake is called rattlesnake point. This is in Vernon BC Canada which I live just outside of. The other shot is just near a local dam on the way to Mabel Lake. I live in an area with lots of fantastic waterways, interior BC. Unfortunately we also are blessed with four distinct seasons. And it's very much winter now. No streetriding until spring.
Im not sure of the model of tech spec I have but I haven't found them to be super abrasive. I put 10,000km on with them so far and I'm a atgatt sort of guy and haven't noticed any wear on the two pairs of pants(one textile, one leather) that do 90% of the seat time.
