Default LED Air Duct Signals?

Hey Guys,

I noticed with my flush mounts you cant see the signals from the front that well, so I was thinking of putting LED strips around the inside of the intake ducts on the front and wire them up as daytime running lights / turn signals.

Questions are has anyone done this?
Do you have any pics?

I just dont want it to look tacky and I dont really want to take the headlights apart to do them in there.

Looks good, but I wasn't really looking for the groundfx look just a strip running the around the inside of the intake.

Mine aren't hooked up to the turn signals, either; they're just a glow inside of there. You'd want a more direct light to use as a turn signal - the orange against black is very dim.

People have done them, in a few different styles. It's not very hard to do - similar to wiring up LED flush mount signals with a two-wire hook up (actually even easier if you don't want them to act as running lights also). I don't have any specific photos to share, though.

I found side mount LED strips with the SMD LED was on the side so they faced forward when you put them on.

I was looking to run them in the intake and do the running lights / turn signal wiring to them.
I figure it would give a different look as well as functionality to the front.

You might also consider signal mirrors as another option

I was debating on the Mirrors but though the lights in the intake would be different.
